What
is Exim Database ? Export
Import database (EXIMSTAT) is the largest on-line public access
database of daily shipment records from major Indian sea and
airports. Its a free of cost service for any registered member
of The Great Indian Bazaar. The database, at present, has
more than 90 million on-line shipment records from following
Indian ports:
- Mumbai Sea
- Mumbai Air
- JNPT (Nhava Shava)
- Chennai Sea
- Chennai Air
- Cochin Sea
- Cochin Air
- Kolkata Sea
- Kolkata Air
- Delhi (ICD-T)
- ...and 12 other sea, air and dry ports

Coverage
The database covers both export and import shipments for the
period April 2003 to March 2008. Data for the period April 2008 onwards
is available in off-line mode (not presently part of free membership service).

database help me ? Use this database to collect information
on Indian Buyers and Sellers, ascertain shipment value and
rate, undertake market research and many other tasks. |

How do I get this data ? Simple
- follow the procedure below:

Join The Great
Indian Bazaar and download required shipment data. As
member, you can download 1500 to 10,000 records per month
free of cost.
Here's the Membership
Form

After becoming
member - log-in to Member's Control Panel and click at
the eximstat icon. There's a basic search interface and
an advanced one. Start with the basic interface and switch
to advanced search after gaining confidence. In basic
search interface, you can search by ITC code or product
name or any part of it. For best result - use ITC code
only. Use ITC Code Search box
above to locate ITC Code of your product. Remember, first
two digits of any ITC Code is the Chapter Number. Use

Tell me more
about the search interface Eximstat search engine allows
search by one or more of following search parameters
(you should select at least one search parameter):
- Any Chapter from ITC Classification
(1-99)
- Name of Exporter or any part of the name
- 8 digit ITC Code - all 8-digits or any part of it starting
from left
- Product Name - full name or any part of it
- Date of Transaction - or a range of date
- Total Value of transaction or a range
- Destination (for Export) or Origin (for import) of the
shipment
- Concerned Indian Port
- Mode of Shipment - by Sea or Air
You should fill-up at least one search
parameter column and click 'Search' button at the bottom.
If you use more
than one search parameter - the search engine will retrive
records that satisfy ALL search parameters. For example,
if you wish to search for shipments of 'Sesame Seeds' -
just type 'Sesame' in Product column and click 'Search'.
However, if you wish to retrive only records having minimum
transaction value of Rs. 50,000 - then type '50000' in 'Total
Value (Min) column also
